Mobile QR Scan Experience

By scanning a worker’s QR code using a mobile device, administrators can instantly access a streamlined profile view displaying compliance status, roles, and certifications—optimised for efficient, on-the-go checks. This functionality supports faster spot checks, improved safety, and greater efficiency at the worksite.

It allows administrators to:

  • Perform quick onsite spot checks
  • View detailed compliance information instantly
  • Preview certificates and metadata
  • Easily switch between mobile and desktop portal views
  • Scan multiple workers with simple navigation

Use your mobile device’s camera to scan the worker’s QR code.

You’ll be directed to their public profile showing basic details and industry certificates.

On mobile, an Industry Login option is available to access additional information.

Tap Industry Login, enter your MyPass domain, and sign in.

Once authenticated, you’ll be taken directly to the mobile-optimised worker profile with full compliance and certification details.

What You’ll See: Mobile-Optimised Worker Profile

Once logged in, admins can view key worker information based on their security permissions.
 

Profile Overview Includes:

  • Profile picture and name
  • Validation status (if enabled)
  • Classifications
  • MyPass ID
  • Roles – all active & confirmed roles the worker holds with your organisation
  • Certifications – all certificates held by the worker (industry + organisation-specific)
  • An indicator that shows if a worker has previously engaged with your organisation; it displays a 'New' status if no previous engagement is found.


 


Viewing Role Requirements & Compliance

To see how a worker meets the requirements for a specific role:

Tap View Certifications under a role.

A detailed view will display:

  • Certificates linked to the role
  • Compliance status for each requirement

Use the top filter to sort certificates by status:

  • All - shows every certificate regardless of its status
  • Action Needed - shows certificates requiring attention
    • Expired
    • Pending Verification
    • Rejected
    • Booking in Progress
  • Compliant - displays valid, verified certificates only

If a role includes multiple positions, you can select a position from the position dropdown.

Note: Custom Requirements also appear as a “position” option.

If a certificate has a document available, you’ll see an arrow icon on the certificate card.

Tap the arrow to open a document preview.

 

Tap the info icon to view full certificate details (e.g., expiry date).

Tap the document icon to return to the preview.

Viewing All Certifications

Selecting All Certifications from the profile displays a complete list of the worker’s certificates.

From the worker’s main profile:

Tap All Certifications.

You’ll see a complete list of every certification the worker holds.

This page also includes a Search function to quickly find a specific certificate.

Document previews and metadata work the same way as in the role requirements view.

Scanning Additional QR Codes

You can scan another worker’s code at any time in one of two ways:

A persistent Scan button allows you to scan another worker’s QR code at any time.

You can also return to the home page. Click on the back button and select Scan QR Code.

Switching Between Mobile & Desktop Views

Some workflows still require the desktop version (e.g., worker confirmation). For convenience, you can switch views anytime:

On mobile: tap View Desktop Version to open the full desktop portal

To return to mobile mode: tap View Mobile Version (only visible on mobile devices).
