The Career Pathways feature in MyPass provides a clear view of industry-standard requirements, published by authorised industry bodies through a Skills Matrix. This feature aims to uncover new career growth opportunities for personnel by highlighting skill gaps and avenues for development.
Please note: Currently, the following Industry Portal features are only available to authorised industry body partners of MyPass. This feature requires configuration by MyPass on the customer’s behalf. Contact your MyPass Customer Success Manager or our Customer Support team to enquire further about Career Pathways.
Configure and Publish Skills Matrix to Career Pathways
Industry Portal admins with the correct user permissions can publish a skills matrix that has been associated with Career Pathways to the Skills Passport.
Select Skills Matrices from the left hand navigation bar and click on the Skills Matrix that is associated with Career Pathways.
Click the Publish to Career Pathways button.
A confirmation message is shown to prevent unintended updates. Click Confirm to proceed.
Publishing makes the Skills Matrix available to personnel via the Career Pathways feature in the MyPass Skills Passport.
Note: Both the position names and descriptions are displayed in Career Pathways in the Skills Passport.
If changes are published in error, you can simply make the correct changes to the Skills Matrix and publish again.
Note: Subsequent changes to the skills matrix will not be visible automatically within Career Pathways until the changes are published.
To remove a Skills Matrix from Career Pathways completely, contact support@mypassglobal.com.
Skills Matrix Change Log
All updates to a Career Pathways Skills Matrix are captured in a change log for complete tracking and accountability. This includes:
- adding or deleting positions and requirements
- changes in status (Mandatory, Desired, Not required)
- publishing actions
- association or removal with Career Pathways
- sharing with a Business Partner
Click the View change log button to view the changes history.
The change log only shows the 10 most recent changes.
Note: The change log is available to Business Partners who have access to the Skills Matrix through sharing. Business Partners who own the Skills Matrix also have visibility of a ‘Changed by’ column which identifies the user who made the change.
